My throat is itchy every time i try to fall asleep, what do i do?

My throat is not itchy at all during the day and then when i want to go to bed ill lay down and try to fall asleep but my throat will be so itchy that i wont be able to fall asleep and that i get a wicked bad cough. its only when im trying to sleep though its never during the day or anything,…
