Is there already an expectorate in the Prometh/cod ?
I am taking the Prometh/cod and the antibiotic for bronchitis but I still have a lot of congestion. Can I safely take Tussin with the Prometh/cod?

Hello,
Prometh/cod is a combination drug that contains 3 components: an antihistamine (Promethazine) and a cough suppressant (codeine). So, also taking guaifenesin will mean you would be taking 2 cough suppressants, which I wouldn't recommend unless your doctor or pharmacist specifically OKs it.
It may be that you just need to give the antibiotic and the Prometh/cod time to really get working in your system. But if you truly feel that you need something more, then just be sure to talk with your doctor or pharmacist first.
Best,
Kathi
