Q: I have allergies, and I get this itchy throat. After so long, it feels like it is swelling and I cough, which eventually causes me to gag, but I never get anything out. It's almost painful! Help!!

Allergies for me are really bad. I get it under control, then new symptoms show up. My throat is the worst though! It starts to like swell up and feels like it almost closing, and it causes me to cough, and in return causes me to gag. I am really fed up with not being able to sleep, and not feeling well. I really need to know what is causing it so I can get out. I have tried allergy medicine, cold medicine, cough drops, drinking water, chewing gum, and throat spray to numb my throat, but nothing is working. I am kinda of starting to think it is my tonsils... I need some answers please!! Help:(
