When I stop using an antihistamine, pressure and fluid builds up in my ear to the point where it eventually leads to an ear infection. Is the ear tube surgery effective in stopping this problem?

Thanks for your question. According to Loradatine's drug information, there are no common side effects. However, some severe side effects can include allergic reactions or dizziness. You should talk to your doctor about any symptoms you think may come from taking the medication.

While ear surgery can be performed on people to treat chronic ear infections, not everyone is a viable candidate for the procedure. You should discss this option with your doctor to see if it may be right for you. I hope this helps.

An allergy is the immune system's over-reaction to a normally harmless substance called an allergen.
