Mary, you should talk to your doctor.

You did not mention what medicine you take and whether it's over the counter or prescription.

It's possible that you are taking medication for the wrong condition. In other words, maybe you don't have a sinus infection, but something else. So, all the medicine you take for your sinuses wouldn't help the real problem.

For example, coughing is a typical symptoms of asthma. Any medication you take for your sinuses wouldn't affect asthma, which is caused by inflammation and narrowing of the airways in the lungs.

But there's no way for me to know what is causing your condition. That's why you need to see your doctor. Explain your symptoms and tell the doctor ALL the medicine you take. Your doctor will help you determine just what it wrong and what the appropriate treatment should be.

Good luck!
