If you are asking if over the counter Benadryl is as effective as prescription Benadryl, the answer is yes, provided you are talking about the same dosage. The over the counter form is virtually identical. It's important to note, though, that while Benadryl is extremely effective at relieving itching and nasal allergy symptoms, it can also cause significant drowsiness. So, taking it can affect your quality of life.
