Those symptoms could be attributed to several conditions, including allergies. This time of year, it can be very difficult to tell what's causing those symptoms.

Try this symptom assessment tool on the Cold & Flu site. It should help your son figure out what may be causing his symptoms.

In general however, itchy and watery eyes, itchy nose  and sneezing are all signs of allergies. If these symptoms seem to happen at the same time every year, appear when your son is certain places but disappear when he leaves that area or comes indoors from outside, then he may have allergies.

He'll have to see a doctor -- an allergist, specifically -- to officially determine if he has any allergies.
