i am a medical student and an allergy patient my self, the symptoms you described indicate more towards a respiratory allergy much more than infection but the possibility can not be ruled out. you both should consult a chest disease specialist immediately, this definitely needs expert care and management- these blogs are no substitute to specialized medical opinion.
