Q: What can cause the loss of taste and smell? I can taste salty, sour, and sweet, but no flavos. I have been without 100% taste for 9 months now.

I have allergies and chronic sinusitis. I have had sinus surgery 3 times in the past. A recent CT shows no blockage in my sinuses. I am taking allergy shots. I take Zyrtec, Singulair, Flonase, Astepro. I sometimes get a hint of taste, but barely. Sometimes I can smell something, but then cannot taste it.
