I have a severe allergy to asprin--will taking motrin cause the same problem??

Hi Ann,
Thank you for your question. A large percentage of patients who are allergic to aspirin are also allergic to NSAIDs such as ibuprofen (Motrin, Advil, etc), naproxen, ketoprofen, and diclofenac. However, most patients are not allergic to acetaminophen containing products (such as Tylenol).
