Hi Tammy,

Rather than trying to list every medicine that might have eggs or egg products here, a better, faster strategy would be to ask your pharmacist about any medicines you want to use. You can also look at the product packaging for any medicine you're considering, whether over the counter or prescription.

The pharmacist is not just some man or woman behind the counter who's filling your prescription. He or she is also a medication expert and consultant, so use their expertise to your advantage. Wink

To your health,

Kathi

Hi Tammy,

Kathi is right. Ask your pharmacist to help you with this.

Also, for your own information, you can find a list on this site that shows some of the alternative names for eggs and egg biprodducts that you might commonly find on ingredients labels. Food labels must say in plain English whether the food contains eggs, but drug labels may be different. Click this link to find out how to read labels to spot common food allergens.
