Is it a problem if the previous tenants of the apartment I'm looking at had cats?

I have found a house that I would like to rent and that is perfect in a number of ways.  Only problem is that the previous owners had a cat.  One plus is that the house is all hardwood floors (no carpets).  I have read that the cat dander can stick around in the house dust for months…
