My granddaughter has what apears to be an insect bite, after a day it got hard, the next day it got a white head on it and red dry patchy area around the bite. I am rather concerned. I have made a Drs. appointment, but can't get in until Tues.

Hi,
My wife was bitten by a spider while pulling weeds last summer and it looked pretty much as you describe. Is it tender around it? After a few days the white head busted and we just made sure to keep it clean.
