Q: Food Allergy... But after 24 Hrs still I have hives and moves around the skin.

I went to a hibachi style buffet and ate sushi, egg roll, sea food delight (all kinds in it) and dollar size shells (cooked). I left the restaurant and drove to my office about 10 mins drive and by the time I reached my office I felt like s extra rubber blanket on my back and it was hot. Also felt few bumpy red hives in my forearm. I went to the doctor office and a PA came and said it seems like a shell food allergy and prescribed steroids(methylprednisolone 4 mg). It should be taken 6, 5, 4, 3, 2 and 1 tablets. I have taken my 6 and wanting to avoid all food so i got a bag of soy bean (Edme) and I may have eaten 20 pods and felt something not right. Again I started seeing hives and very itchy. Second day break fast I ate McDonnald's sausage mcgriddle and it was ok. For lunch I tried to eat pizza and I got the hives again. This time in my face. I read and every ones reaction is different, but I don't know what it could be. I have fixed an appointment with an allergy specialist for monday. Does anyone know how long the hives could last. Each time the severity is lessoning. But it moves from upper body to lower body and comaback in a new spot where it did not come before. Any idea. Much apprecaited. Thanks, Alex.
