My 28 month old daughter has had a fever (101) and has been complaining that her eyes hurt.

My daughter has been eating and drinking like normal, but her energy has been a little less than normal.  Her entire body feels hot.  I have administered Tylenol just before bedtime and Motrin in the middle of the day.  The fever has then decreased.  We have asked her if anything hurts and she tells us nothing does, just her eyes.  She feels better after I gently rub them with the palms of my hands.

Take your daughter to the doctor right away. High fevers are never a good sign in small children.

There can be many reasons why she says her eyes hurt. It's best to get a diagnosis from your doctor.

If you have any questions about what you learn from the doctor, come back and let us know.

An allergy is the immune system's over-reaction to a normally harmless substance called an allergen.
