A couple of weeks ago my daughter made enchiladas with salsa verde. It is pure and has no preservitives. I had a terrible stomach ache right after I ate, then I threw up and had gas pains that felt like someone was stabbing me in the stomach. I also felt flushed and almost passed out several times. Well, last night I made enchiladas (different recipe) and used the same salsa verde. The salsa verde is the only ingredient that I have not eaten in other forms since the first time. Last night I had the same reaction.
Severe stomach pain as soon as I ate then nausia and throwing up and etc.
Is this an allergy or what???
Your symptoms sound more like a food intolerance than a food allergy. I wrote an article about the difference a while back:
Regardless, I'd avoid eating any more of the salsa verde, no matter how good it is!
