I'm 76. This morning, at 6:30, I noticed that my right lip commenced swelling. The last things I ingested (7:00PM the night before) was Tekturna 10mg. (8:00pm, Vasotec 10mg. (10:00pm Norvasc 5mg, and (11:00pm Hytrin 10mg. Nothing else neither after that, nor before first symptoms in AM. The morning before, I took the same, except that instead of Tekturna, I had Diovan 320mg.
I took 10mg Zyrtec at 6:15am, then another 10mg at 8:00am.
y lips and right cheeck continued to swell, and at this moment (1:00pm) lip is about four time its normal size; cheeck is about three times larger.
Last November 12, I had the same experience, except that instead of 20mg of Zyrtec, I took only 10. Though lips and cheeck were not so swollen, I visted an ER, where after 4 hours there, I was given an IV of Medrol. after ER visit, I ended up with a big headache, and my BP raised very high. Cardiologist had to try other medications, which raised Diovan from 160 to 320mgs, changed Hyzaar (diuretic element contains 2 atoms of Sulfur, of which I;m allergic) to Vasotec. Tekturna was added.
With present swelling as described, could I, safely, take one or two more Zyrtecs, before thinking of visiting ER. Thanks!
