Q: Is there any allergy medication better than Zyrtec?

I have been using Zyrtec for several years and I was wondering if there is newer medication that is more effective.

Hi SSG,

 

What is more effective for one person is not necessarily going to be the case for the next. Some people swear by Zyrtec, while others, like you and me, don't. I discuss these issues in more detail here:

Another option is a nasal steroid spray, such as Nasonex or Veramyst. Because they treat allergies right where some of the worst symptoms are, they can be really effective:
