Hi Usha,

Depending on what your son is allergic to, weather can definitely play at least an indirect role in his allergies. Dry, hot, windy weather makes it easier for pollen spores to travel far and wide on the wind, triggering allergies in sensitive people, particularly in the early morning hours.

There is also some evidence that extreme weather, such as severe thunderstorms, may be some kind of trigger for allergies. But weather, in and of itself, can probably not trigger allergies.

To find out for sure what is making your son react, I'd encourage you to have him examined by an allergy specialist doctor, an allergist.

Good luck!
