Q: If I test neg. for shellfish allergy but was told I was allergic to iodine is it safe to eat shlfish

I was told when younger that I was allergic to Idodine.  On recent allergy tests it came back negative for shrimp, crab etc.  So does that mean it is safe to eat shellfish since I am not allergic to the  protein in shellfish?
