Q: Facial Rash on left side of face

I used a 5 min semi-permanent hair dye and now my face has a rash on the left side of my forehead,on my left eye lid and on the left side of my jaw and up under my chin left side,very little on the right side, what can I use as a  home remedy?

Hi Evelyn, First thing you should know is that we can't tell you for sure over the Internet if what you're experiencing even is an allergic reaction to hair dye. A firm diagnosis would have to come from someone who has examined you face to face. But if it is an allergy rash, time is probably the best cure, allowing the allergic reaction to subside.

 

It's also important to keep the area moisturized with a cream that has no dyes or fragrances in it. Additionally, you could sparingly use an over the counter hydrocortisone type cream, but avoid putting it on your eyelids or around your eyes and only apply a very thin layer a couple of times a day. You don't want to overdue it. And don't scratch!
