Hi Shaquita,

It is definitely possible to develop new allergies at any point in time. That is the nature of allergies. What happens often is that you are slowly developing a sensitivity to the substance each time you are exposed to it, until suddenly, you tip the scales in the wrong direction. In other words, the sensitivity is gradually getting worse and worse till it starts causing noticeable symptoms.

There's not a whole lot that can be done about this if you are an allergic type person. All you can really do is be vigilant in watching for symptoms and then acting quickly to treat them. And then, of course, avoiding contact with that allergen in the future.

There are many theories about the increase in allergy numbers throughout the world, including climate change and modernization/sterilization of the world. But no one knows for sure.

To your health,

Kathi
