I don't know what it is, but every so often my lips, cheeks, hands or arms swell up to huge sizes, i sometimes get a rash in the form of large, spread out white lumps circled in red, i also get tear-drop shaped red lumps just under my eyes and i feel bloated and heavy, tired and ill. I've tried not eating wheat and i guess it has helped..i'm not sure though...any ideas?? please help!

The best way to determine your allergy is to keep a food journal.  Try cutting out one different food a day, start with dairy and see what happens.  My friend's son is allergic to oats, eggs, and whey.  Those are pretty uncommon foods to be allergic to so you may be eating something that you don't even realize you are allergic to.  You would generally have a reaction a short time after eating the offensive food so try and mark the timing of what you have been eating.  In my personal experience, I am not allergic to food but have similar reaction when exposed to types of dogs, horses, and very dusty spaces.  Hope this helps!  Good luck!

Please go to a good allergist and have a tube of blood drawn and get blood RAST tests for the eight common food allergies.  If all are negative, you could be allergic to chemicals in your laundry detergent, medications, pets, mold, cosmetics, or even specific food dyes and preservatives.  You are having a bad allergic reaction to something.  Go to a professional allergist and find out what it is.  Life without severe allergic reactions is so much better.  Good luck!

An allergy is the immune system's over-reaction to a normally harmless substance called an allergen.
