Topics:Cat AllergyAllergic Reaction

23 y/o female.  Moderate itchy eyes/coughing reaction to cat exposure after 30-35 minutes.  symptoms seem to increase for a short period of time after leaving where the cat is (i.e. after leaving the house/room where the cat is and starting to drive to her house)

I don't have allergies myself, but thought this seemed a bit odd.  Is it normal, or are there quite a few instances where allergy sufferers have increased symptoms after leaving the area containing allergens?
