Hello,   I would strongly encourage you to call your doctor and have him/her take a look at what's going on. That's the best way to get a personalized diagnosis. However, when mucus discharge is yellow, green, or bloody, that's usually a sign of infection. Allergies will generally produce clear mucus.   The symptoms of allergies, sinus infections and colds are all quite similar in many respects, though, which sometimes makes diagnosis challenging. The fact that your symptoms are worse at night is fairly common. Part of the problem is that you're lying down, so your sinuses can't drain into your throat as easily as they do during the day time when you're upright.   The only way to be sure, though, is to have a doctor examine you.
