My granddaughter(12) is taking 3 10mg tablets once a day, not under Dr supervision. Is this harmful?

My granddaughter was taking a prescription allery drug (60mg) Do not know the name of Rx. My daughter-in-law decided to take her off it and with out Dr. instructions put her on Zyrtec tablets 10mg, 3 tablets a one time. Feeling since she took a 60mg Rx it is ok to replace with 3 10mg Zyrtec.
