Q: There is a high pollen count for my area and my eyes are going haywire

Does anyone experience weird sensations in their eyes during the high pollen counts? My eyes have been bugging me for a week with dry, red, burning, blurry and sparks when i enter a dark room. My area is on high alert for the pollen so I wondered if anyone else has experienced their eyes acting funny during this time. Thanks

Hi there,

The symptoms you describe sound like eye allergies, which can definitely occur during pollen season. This is the season for ragweed pollen and outdoor mold, so if you're allergic to either one of those, then that is probably the problem.

But to be sure, I'd advise you to get examined by your family doctor or eye doctor. There are drops that will probably help relieve your symptoms, but you need to be sure what you're dealing with first.

To your health,

Kathi
