Q: my child broke out ina unusuak rash 2 mnths ago why the continous itchy and blochiness

my child brokeout in a red bumpy rash then a week later hands peeled off in sheets then her feet 5 days later now 2 mnths later skin is dry bumpy and itchy to the point of her scrstchy till she has scaps off scratches and skin is turning white all over in spots and she is irratiable constanly bc of the itchy no one seems to know what it is they said take her to dermotolgist but there are none close to us wh have to wait we've tried everything and use hypoallergenic products have any suggestions

Hi there,

 

I'm sorry to tell you this, but this is really an issue that should be addressed by a doctor. A dermatologist sounds like a good idea, but if you can't get an appointment with one, then I'd look into either a pediatrician or maybe an allergist.

 

No one here is going to be able to give you a diagnosis. Skin problems can be tricky, but it definitely sounds as though this is something that is not getting better. I would definitely eliminate all skin care products from her care, unless prescribed by a physician. Just use warm water for baths. Maybe get a hypoallergenic laundry detergent.
