Hi Deborah:

Thankfully, it's getting a lot easier to prepare tasty, healthy foods for children (and adults) with food allergies.

You should check out all the posts by Gina Clowes, founder of Allergy Moms and an advocate for food allergy research and legislation.

You should also read the posts by Jamie Martin, whose daughter has milk allergies. Jamie started a company called Meraby that sells allergy-free foods and treats. On this site, she's done several posts with allergy-free recipes:

Candy Corn Popsicles

Chocolate Dipped Crispy Rice and Marshmallow Treats

Quick and Easy Chicken Tortilla Soup

Allergen-Free Turkey Chili

You can also check out Alice Sherwood's Allergy-Free Cookbook, which focuses on cooking without four major allergens: gluten (the protein in wheat, barley, rye), eggs and egg products, nuts (tree nuts and peanuts), and dairy (milk and all dairy products).
You can also find tips from Alice in her interview with Sloane Miller on the site.

Good luck!
