Topics:Allergic Reaction

MY HUSBAND HAS HAD 4 REACTIONS IN 2 YEARS ABOUT 4 HOURS AFTER EATING. TWICE FROM DAIRY QUEEN, ONCE FROM TACO MAC AND ONCE ON CRUISE SHIP. THIS LATEST REALLY SCARED US AS HE THREW UP THE BENEDRYL AND THEN HAD TO GET EMERGENCY HELP FROM SHIP DOCTOR IN THE FORM OF BENEDRYL AND PREDNISONE SHOT. HE STARTS WITH ITCHING AND HIVES OF HANDS AND FEET(ALWAYS 4 HOURS AFTER INGESTING) WHICH RAPIDLY PRGRESSES TO LEGS, ARMS, BUTTOCKS, STOMACH, AND CHEST TIGHTENING ALSO. CAN'T FIND ANYTHING ABOUT THIS SPECIFIC TYPE OF REACTION. COULD IT BE A TOXIN FROM BAD MEAT? HAS NOT HAD THIS PROBLEM WITH ANY OTHER FOOD EVER! WHAT IS GOING ON?
