what allergy medicine works the best for pet dandruff?

I'm a 31 year old male who weighs about 220 and I have very bad allergy when it comes to my wifes cats.  I have tried over the counter but it's just not strong enough for me.  I plan on going to the doctor but I don't even know what allergy medicine is out there.  A friend told me…
