Q: how come when i eat cooked shrimp nothing happens to me, but when i eat raw shrimp i can't breathe?

also i live in maryland so eating seafood is part of my daily life. ive never felt nothing after eating them, but when they are raw i get shortness of breath or i feel as though iam dying of suffication then i get white welts on my skin and face. there is a burning sensation as well as a itchy sensation. all within seconds of consumption.

im sorry that this isnt really an anwser to your question......

i never eat raw shrimp but when i clean and prepare them to cook.....

i get the white welt all over my hands with the itching and burning . today i made shrimp and for the 1st time along with the other symtoms , my fingers are so swollen that i cant bend them and its very painful, ........ im looking for an answer to this too....

i can eat cooked shrimp with no effect...

what kind of allergy is this
