Hi,

Thank you for your question. Loratadine (brand name Claritin) is the least-sedating OTC allergy medication. For severe kidney disease, the recommended dose is 10 mg (one tablet) every other day. However, you should discuss with your doctor or pharmacist whether this medication is safe for you - don't want to cause any drug interactions! You can find more information about loratadine here.

Best of luck,

Casey
