Is phantom smell (phantosmia) a known side effect of Flonase or Loratadine?

Hello...
I couldn't find any mention of phantosmia as a side effect for Flonase. The prescribing information did say there had been some anecdotal (non-study) reports of alteration or loss of sense of taste and/or smell and I found confirmation of that elsewhere too.
Many times side effects lessen or go away over time, but if this one continues to be bothersome, talk with your doctor about other options. There are many different medications you could try as an alternative.
