Q: Can A Bee Sting Cause Joint Pain?

I had a bee sting on my knee. The site of the sting became very inflamed and painful immediately, swelling to about the size of my fist. The next day the extreme pain turned to excruciating itching. Then my knee started to ache. (I had a knee replacement.) A couple of days later, I had severe symptoms of pain and stiffness in my neck which lasted over a week and then suddenly stopped. (My neck had already been a little bit stiff and painful from over activity. Could that have been aggravated by the bee sting?
