Hi Pat,

You've got my kind of symptoms.  Hopefully it will go away in the near future. My son's did. His apartment had new carpet and he was stuffed and with headaches for a few months. They did get a air purifier which they still use. If you could get a Hepa vacuum (I LOVE my Dyson...but get the lower weight one!) it couldn't hurt.

In my case it's mold allergies. All I get are the symptoms you describe (enough!). I just got fully tested a few weeks ago.  I plan to start shots soon.  I had them in the past also.  I'm also going to get a mold monitor of some sort.

I just take generic antihistamine tabs (25mg) either 1 whole if I'm really suffering or overnight.  (our bedroom seems to be a big trigger).  In the am I seem to draiin really well (bothersome but better than the headaches and eyes swelling). During the day I might stick to a half a pill.  I'm already on Singular and Nasonex spray but because of the conditions around my property and house I will require the shots too.  (Florida, country, tons of trees/leaves, have horses (barn/hay), house (packrat). All of these harbor mold spores for me.

Also the generic mucus expectorant with sinus relief is a godsend.  I use the DG (dollar general) brand ($4. vs $12.or so).  But the allergy pills themselves help shrink the passages iinside the most.

Hope that helps til the expert checks in!  Joyce :)
