Hi Robert,   To know for sure what triggered your allergic reaction, you'd need to be tested. There are so many things that it could be. Even if you've been working out on that same field for years, you could still suddenly develop a sensitivity to the artificial turf or other environmental factors. Sometimes sensitivities develop very slowly, as we are repeatedly exposed to the same thing.   The fact that your reactions happened after moist conditions (humidity & precipitation both count) makes me wonder if a sensitivity to molds might be at work here. Mold counts tend to be at their highest in the late summer/early fall, but they can be present in the atmosphere year round, depending on where you live.   What concerns me most, though, is your likelihood of having a full-blown anaphylactic reaction next time around. This can be life-threatening, and fast action is essential. You might want to talk with your doctor about whether you should carry auto-injectable epinephrine (EpiPen). You can read more about anaphylaxis here.   To your health, Kathi
