Saturday, January 24, 2009 celia sivertson asks

Q: My granddaughter has leukemia and is being given periactin even thoughshe is eating

she has had slight weight loss the nurses insist that she is getting it or weight loss even though her doctor yesterday was quick to question why. she is 11 yrs old and was slightly overweight when she began chemo.  is this standard procedure or this diagnosis?

she has never suffered from allergies.
