Oh my! I have a very itchy nose and face and am beginning to think it may be dust mites, it gets evn worse in the summer when the pollen is flyng about. What hapens is the offendinding particle get in your nostrils and inflaming the tissue inside your nose, this causes your nose to block and the normal fluid that comes down your nose to was away these foreign particles can't get down. Doctors don't seem to want to be bothered with it but it affects your life. The best cures are anti histamines which do stop the irritation but make you very drowsy and/or washing the inside of nostrils and applying film of vaseline just inside to catch allergens and you can remove them but you have to keep applying the vaseline. Nightmare if you fins d a better cure please do let me know.
