    Ordered Drixoral from Canada
    Nancy Nancy
    August 10, 2008

Like the others on this site - Drixoral is the only allergy medication that works for me too and when I couldn't find it on the shelves I was very disappointed.  I took the advise from this site and ordered same from Canada.  I am a little concerned though, the packaging is different from the box I am used to buying - the box from Canada is green/blue and doesn't list certain things.  The box that I would buy here was white and listed non-drowsy formula and stated antihistamine/decongestent.  I took a pill this morning and it hasn't worked on my allergies and has made me very sleepy.  Hopefully, this is just a coinsidence or my mind playing tricks on me.  Can anyone confirm that the Drixoral being shipped from Canada is the same formula, just in a different pacakage, as the one we were buying here as of a couple of months ago?

    Hi Nancy,

Thank you for your question. I'm not sure who recommended that you buy medications from Canada, but I would hope that none of the experts on this site are recommending that to you. The FDA regulates the manufacturing of medications in the US, and has no control over Canada's procedures. It is possible that Canada is manufacturing a medication called Drixoral that has none of the same ingredients as the medication manufactured under that name in the United States. Check the active ingredients list. If the ingredients in Canadian Drixoral are not the same as the ingredients in the Drixoral you used to purchase here, you may not receive any benefits from the medication at all. Even if the ingredients match, they could be present in different doses or quantities. I would strongly recommend against buying medications from Canada in the future. Best of luck to you!

    Casey

DO NOT ORDER DRIXORAL FROM CanadaPharmacy.com!!! The first order I placed I received Drixoral as shown on the website, but when I placed a refill they send a product from Turkey - completely unacceptable.  The box is in Turkish and there is NO way to know what they sent.  Buy from them only if you can afford to throw money away.

Drixoral from Canada is totally genuine, or that is my opinion anyways. The Drixoral Cold and Sinus pack contains

    • Antihistamine :Dexbrompheniramine Maleate 6 mg
    • Decongestant : Pseudoephedrine Sulfate 120 mg.

It is readily avialable from <a href=http://www.trumedcanada.com/OTC/Drixoral.Dexbrompheniramine.cold.12.hour.relief.aspx>TruMedCanada.com</a>

and usually ships the same day!!

I had great experience shopping with them.

    Good Luck!

Hi , there is nothing wrong with the drixorall from Canada, I have been using it, use the pharmacy listed below its great, and the price is the most reasonable so far.   I think it was the stupidess thing to do is to remove this drug from the market.  Sudafed does not help me, it makes me miserable.   Hope this helps.

I also have used Drixoral for many years with no side effects.  When it was pulled out of US stores, I tried Zyrtec and ended up in the ER because I thought I was having a heart attack!  So....I ordered Drixoral from Canada.  The first two shipments were in slightly different-looking boxes, but the pills were the same and contained the very same ingredients.  I received my most recent order yesterday, and I truly have no flippin' clue what this stuff is, because the little white boxes are printed entirely in a foreign language and the pills inside are WHITE, not green.  They were shipped from the UK, not Canada, and seem to be manufactured in Turkey.  I don't THINK so!  I'll be asking for my money back, but in the meantime, I continue to suffer and still haven't found anything that works as well as the real Drixoral.

thanks nancy, I ,too, have been hunting for Drixoral for several months now until I found

out it had been discontinued. I have used it for years as it has been the only product

that really worked for me.  I've been sick with a cold or flu for over 2 weeks now and

after ransacking my linen closet I found almost an entire package that expired last month!  I was thrilled and tried to make them last as long as I could, but now they

are gone and my nose is running like a faucet and I feel awful.  today was the first

day I looked it up on the internet and was just about to purchase some from

canada but I ,too, noticed that the box didn't look quite right.  I have always taken

the drixoral that is the green pill.  After reading your post I have reconsidered.  I heard

that it was discontinued because it has an ingredient that is used in the manufactoring

of crystal meth, which is apparently the one ingredient that made it effective!  I have been trying other OTC's but nothing works. Anyway, thanks for saving me the disappoint of ordering from canada!

Hi there is nothing wrong with the drugs from Canada, I do order my drixorall from Canada, their drugs are safe and comparable to drugs in the USA   I do notice howerver that on some of the canadian pharmacy sites its listed as orginal formula.    , so I think some of them may be different.    I think its kind of stupid for it to be banned in the states, I have been using it for years for my sinus and allergies and because people are using it for meth or whatever does not mean it should be banned. Thats my opinion anyway.

Sorry , your wrong. Whens the last time you took a Drixoral with the black writing on it? I found some in an old coat just recently, a lot of them, and even tho they are two years old, they still kick my *SS and i can whistle 17 different Rolling Stones songs through my nose , in three octaves my friend. Fact. Whats being sold today from Canada is Garbage. And i can prove it. But the bigger concern is why? Why is there so much mystery to this situation. Lies on top of it about when they would be brought back to the market, lies about where and how you can find the " Originals " in Canada. I think its a cover up, a big one, and the makers are just hoping well all just go away. What in those pills they were selling us????? I'll be surprised if this gets posted, and by the way, I'm finding other allergy sufferers that can use some of these real pills that i have. More will be revealed

Nasal decongestant especially in this weather. I just miss it on stores in USA. But luckily I did find it online and from www.trumedcanada.com and they had it in stock. I would recommend them as they shipped it the same day means they had it in stock.

Some of the companies do say they carry Drixoral but I have noticed most of them don't have it in stock and you have to wait for weeks before you get your shipment and then on top of that sometimes companies say they are shipping from Canada but when the shipment arrives it is from some other country and in a different language. I hope some of these comments do help some of my friends to make best of the decisions

We should look for alternatives but till then go Drixoral hunting on web and one of the places u can find is as under

The link to the product page is as under:

    Best of luck
