Q: Are severe allergies sometimes misdiagnosed as sinus infections?

Can extreme allergies mimic some symptoms of sinus infection such as sinus headache?

I have just been told that.  I have been treated for a sinus infection for over3 months, but have a clear CT scan.  I have now been referred to an allergist as well as to a neurologist for the evaluation of "variant migraine" which can mimic a sinus headache.  Good luck to you.
