Hi there,   I'm guessing you had an anaphylactic reaction, which is really just a fancy way of saying allergic shock. This is basically a whole body severe reaction to an allergen, which in this case was something given to you in the scratch test. You can read more about anaphylaxis here: http://www.healthcentral.com/allergy/c/3387/20342/anaphylaxis-you   Because this condition can be life-threatening, your doctor probably does not want to put you at such risk. However, you might ask again if there is any way you could safely go this route. Or if sublingual immunotherapy might be an option.   Good luck! Kathi
