Q: How do you treat or prevent a sun allergy?

Everytime I go out in the sun, my arms break out in a rash.  Is there anyway to treat or prevent this without completely staying out of the sun?

Danette,

I would encourage you to consult with an allergist about that. That's a doctor who specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of allergies. But meanwhile, if you know something causes a reaction, then the smartest thing to do is to avoid it.

Try staying indoors when the sun is shining. If that's not possible, then cover your arms with lightweight clothing so that they're not exposed to the sun. Aside from that, advice will have to come from a specialist doctor.

Best,

Kathi
