Q: I am allergic to shellfish, calamari, iodine and spinach, why is spinach a problem for me?

Can you tell me what happens when you experience this reaction, I believe I am allergic as well, but only when I eat in large quantities....

Do you experience itch? and swelling?

My daughter is almost two she was diagnossed as allergic to eggs spinach and cats .Her symptoms of spiach allergy is only pressent when served eggs florentine not egg or spinach alone cause reation.Is it possible you also must combine spinach with other foods to achieve reaction???Also symptoms she expiriances diarea , bright red almost hives and swelling of eyes mouth and almost anywhere uper half...good luck

Spinach is the best vegetable source of iodine in the normal Western diet.  If you're allergic to iodine, you're probably reacting to the iodine in the spinach.
