Hi Dawn,   Though onions are not the most common culprits in food allergies, I have heard of it before. But actually, the symptoms you describe could also be a food intolerance instead of an allergy. That's a doctor who specializes in treating allergies and immune system disorders, and who can do allergy testing and devise the right plan of care for you. If it's an allergy, allergy shots might help.   Of course, you need to avoid all foods with onion products in them, and that's going to mean learning how to read food labels, and asking questions in restaurants about how food is prepared. Unfortunately, onions are used pretty routinely in cooking, so it's going to be a challenge.   To your health, Kathi
