Q: could you be allergic to a food item that hasn't been eating for 2 years or more?

I am just 14 years and i have been know to react to certain stuff in my childhood but got used to them cause i lived in Nigeria for about 9 years and i used eat tinned mushrooms but since i moved to UK for two years i haven't eating mushrooms or the mushrooms from the particular brand that my mum always used to buy. but now that im back in Nigeria. My sister made some weird concuction sandwich which practicly everything was fried so it had mixed vegetables(peas, carrots and other stuff) and she added garlic, sausages, and mushrooms, and some spinach at the end she then added garlic powder. everything else except the mushrooms im used to eating alot. so about 30 mins after the intake i became really itchy around my face then on my legs my back and then my arms it was really bad on my arms cause you could tell it was irritated and the back of my neck is red , irritated and sore. it was red and swollen and very itchy and painful and my body got really hot by the way this all happened really early in the morning cause i have a sleeping problem where i sleep during the day and awake at night. so could it be because i havent eating edible mushrooms in a long while?
