Hi Debra,

Congrats on your pregnancy!! Have you spoken to your OB/GYN about which medications to take? While I do not see any warnings about taking Allegra while pregnant, you should always consult your doctor. I have seen a few conversations where people were told they could take Claritin, but you should check with your doctor to make sure. Online sites are great for getting information, but nothing should take the place of your doctor's solid medical advice and care.

Here is some other information you might be interested in. Because mother's often pass along their allergies as well as antibodies to their children there are some who believe that mother's who eat well can even those odds. There is a great article here called,

Eat Meditteranean for a healthier baby that outlines foods that mothers can eat that will help strengthen the baby's immune system. There is also an article here called, Protect your baby from allergies and asthma by eating fish and apples. This article has some good information about diet and how the omega oils in fish can benefit your unborn child.

Hope this helps! Take care and stay in touch. Let us know how you and the new baby are doing!
