Dear Friends,
My husband has Type II Diabeters and is VERY about managing it, but let's just say that at 73 his overall health is taking a hit. He has a GREAT number of insect bites. I seldom do. He is covered with chiggers and often picks up ticks - a lot of them yet we work in the yard together doing the same chores. He is wonderting if there is a connection between a great number of insect bites and diabetes. That is, is there something to which the bugs are attracted? Maybe his sweat is sweet? Far fetched? Or is this all just coincidence? I took 4 ticks off of him tonight and have been pulling off one or two a day several days a week. They seldom bother me. And the chiggers! They make him miserable!
- Thanks, Curious in Virginia
