I too, have relied on Drixoral since my teen years when my allergies really got out of control. I'm now 26, and nothing works like Drixoral did. I was told in 2008 that the plant was being moved, etc etc. I have tried so many substitutes, to no avail.   The closest I have come to an OTC solution is Zyrtec-D, which is cetiririzine & pseudophedrine. I have to get it behind the counter, show ID, and sign a log book...thanks, DEA. Your drug war is useless, as teens and druggies alike will find ways to get high with or without Drixoral, I promise.   I want my good ol' Drixoral back, and plan on calling Schering to get on the mailing list. Oh, and for the record, they need to quit recommending Claritin. IT DOES NOT WORK. Even Claritin-D, with the psuedophedrine in it is NOT as good. Schering reps are rec'ing the Claritin because it is a Merck product and they are owned by Merck. In other words, they just want our money. Go with the Zyrtec-D, it's not Drixoral, but it is close. 12hr and 24hr versions are available.
