I'm wondering if you've tried any eye drops for your eye allergy symptoms? Eye drops are great because they act right where they're needed, without a lot of medication going elsewhere in your body, as it does when you take prednisone by mouth or in a shot.

Antihistamine eye drops like Alaway are available over the counter and often work well. There are also other prescription allergy eye drops you might ask your doctor about.

I've also found personally that putting a cold, wet washcloth wrapped around some ice cubes on my eyes really helps a lot with the swelling, redness and itching from eye allergies. And it doesn't cost a thing!
